Granulation is a technique whereby the smith heats a silver (or gold) wire to form a ball, then cuts and solders these handmade balls into decorative, elaborate patterns. This technique has been widely used since pre-Roman times and continues today in many cultures around the world.
Designed in New York. Jane Diaz has been collaborating with Nepalese silversmiths for over 20 years. They make the jewelry by hand in Nepal using the same techniques as their father's fathers.
